Police Station, Blue Hill Reservation
Blue Hills Police Station postcard

The 1904 Blue Hill Reservation Police Station was designed by Stickney & Austin, who designed the majority of the structures for the Metropolitan Park Commission (MPC). The MPC was established in 1893 as a result of the tremendous vision of landscape architect Charles Eliot. Later the station was under the jurisdiction of the MDC; however, today it is part of the State Police system with responsibility for Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) roadways and parkland, as well as the patrol of major highways and providing police service to a number of local towns.
