St. Michael's Church
St. Michael's Church postcard

In 1889 an acre of land on Randolph Avenue was purchased as a church building site. The building of St. Michael's Church was awarded to John R. Lawrence of Milton and its design attributed to Ralph Lincoln Emerson (son of architect William Ralph Emerson), also of Milton.  The keystone of the front entrance archway, a fragment of the old Norman Abbey in Milton England, was presented as a gift from the English parish.  St. Michael's held its first service on Easter Sunday 1899.
