Lincoln Cabin
postcard of the Lincoln Cabin at the Forbes House MuseumThis reproduction of the log cabin in which Abraham Lincoln was born was built in Milton by Thomas S. Murdock for Mary Bowditch Forbes.  Mr. Murdock went to Hodgenville, Kentucky where he studied the details and took measurements to make a perfect replica of this historic cabin.  The cornerstone was laid Nov. 19, 1923 by Mrs. George L. Torbert, who saw Lincoln nominated.The cabin still stands, in the care of
the Forbes House Museum.
