he Milton Historical Society is committed to preserving and celebrating the rich history of Milton, Massachusetts. As a non-profit organization, we depend on the generous support of our community to continue our essential work. There are numerous ways you can help us further our mission—whether by becoming a member, making a financial donation, or volunteering your time. Your support enables us to maintain our archives, offer educational programs, and preserve historic sites for future generations. Your membership dues and generous donations make the following possible:

  • Sponsorship of educational programs for fifth graders, including classroom presentations and bus tours to historical sites in Milton.

  • The Milton Historical Society Scholarship, awarded annually to a graduating high school student with a demonstrated passion for history.

  • New programs and activities offered by the Milton Historical Society.

  • Additions to the Milton archives and collections, with over 100 items added in 2023 alone!

  • Free public access to the Suffolk Resolves House on select dates from April through December.

Members receive our newsletter three times a year, filled with fascinating Milton history, as well as early notification of events and programs that require reservations.

As an all-volunteer organization, we do not charge for most of our activities. Instead, we rely on membership dues, along with gifts and donations, to continue our vital work.
