Volunteering for the Society

Your membership dues and donations make a tangible impact. Thanks to your generosity, we can:
- Sponsor educational programs for fifth graders, including classroom presentations and bus tours to Milton's historic sites.
- Award the Milton Historical Society Scholarship to a graduating high school student with a demonstrated interest in history.
- Launch new MHS programs and activities.
- Add to the Milton archives and collections—in 2023 alone, we added over 100 new items!
- Open the Suffolk Resolves House for free to the public on select dates from April through December.
- Maintain our archives, collections, and the Suffolk Resolves House.
As a member of the Milton Historical Society, you will:
- Receive our newsletter three times a year, filled with fascinating stories about Milton’s history.
- Get early notice of events and programs that require reservation
We are an all-volunteer organization, and we do not charge for most of our activities. Instead, we rely on membership dues, gifts, and donations to fund our work.
